ABUSO DE AUTORIDADE EM MANAUS POR AGENTES PÚBLICOS

Na noite de domingo, 05 de Setembro de 2025, circulou nas redes sociais um vídeo revoltante mostrando agentes públicos agredindo um cidadão que apenas tentava levar sustento à sua família com seu carrinho de churrasco. O trabalhador autônomo, em destaque no vídeo, foi brutalmente espancado por fiscais da Prefeitura de Manaus, no estado do Amazonas.

Agentes que deveriam orientar e informar sobre as leis ou o código de posturas do município agiram de forma oposta: espancaram pessoas que apenas querem trabalhar para sustentar suas famílias — nada mais.

Segundo relato publicado no Facebook:

“Desde o primeiro momento, eles vieram brigando conosco e tentando me impedir de filmá-los. No primeiro vídeo, um segurança (não sabemos de qual órgão) partiu para cima de mim, agressivo, porque eu estava registrando a abordagem deles, que já começou com total ignorância e desrespeito.

Eles chutaram nossos carrinhos, derrubaram nossa comida, tomaram nossas mercadorias e partiram para a violência física. Eu também fui empurrada e tive meu celular arrancado da mão.”

De acordo com a Lei nº 13.869/2019 (Abuso de Autoridade) e os artigos 129 e 163 do Código Penal (Lesão Corporal e Dano Material), além do artigo 5º da Constituição Federal, os atos cometidos configuram graves violações de direitos.

Segundo informações, esse caso não é isolado. Todos os dias, churrasqueiros e vendedores ambulantes são perseguidos, humilhados, torturados psicologicamente e impedidos de trabalhar em locais públicos por fiscais truculentos — muitas vezes com o apoio da Polícia Militar do Amazonas.

O sistema de segurança pública, que deveria proteger os cidadãos, acaba sendo conivente com essa forma de tortura urbana, promovida, segundo as imagens e os vídeos que circulam, por agentes vinculados à Prefeitura de Manaus. Nos vídeos, é nítida a covardia; outros clientes e transeuntes também registraram todo o ocorrido.

O trabalhador e a população de bem exigem justiça e respeito.
O trabalhador merece dignidade, não pancadas apoiadas e patrocinadas pelo poder público municipal de Manaus.

ALLEGATION OF POLICE ABUSE IN MANAUS

 

On the night of Sunday, September 5th, 2025, a shocking video began circulating on social media showing public agents assaulting a citizen who was simply trying to provide for his family with his barbecue cart. The self-employed worker, featured in the footage, was brutally beaten by inspectors from the Manaus City Hall, in the state of Amazonas.

Officials who should be guiding and informing citizens about local laws or municipal codes instead acted violently, assaulting people who only wish to work and feed their families.

According to a statement posted on Facebook:

“From the very first moment, they came at us aggressively and tried to stop me from filming. In the first video, a security guard (we don’t know from which agency) came toward me violently because I was recording their approach, which had already started with complete ignorance and disrespect.
They kicked our carts, threw our food on the ground, seized our goods, and resorted to physical aggression. I was also pushed and had my cellphone snatched from my hand.”

 

According to Law No. 13,869/2019 (Abuse of Authority) and Articles 129 and 163 of the Penal Code (Bodily Harm and Property Damage), as well as Article 5 of the Federal Constitution, these actions represent serious violations of civil rights.

Reports indicate that this is not an isolated case. Every day, barbecue vendors and street sellers are persecuted, humiliated, psychologically tortured, and prevented from working in public areas by violent municipal agents — sometimes with the support of the Military Police of Amazonas.

The public security system, which should protect citizens, often turns a blind eye to this kind of urban abuse, seemingly promoted, as seen in videos and images circulating online, by agents linked to the Manaus City Hall. The footage clearly shows acts of cowardice, and other witnesses and passersby also recorded the entire incident.

Workers and law-abiding citizens demand justice and respect.
Workers deserve dignity, not beatings supported and sponsored by the local government the Manaus.
